In late June of 2005, the IAIS contracted with the Asplundh Company to use its weed spraying train along the system. The train arrived on the IAIS at Bureau where it was taken to Peoria. The sprayer ran from Peoria to Council Bluffs and even made a trip down the Milan Branch in the Quad Cities.
