Album: IAIS 495 - GP16

Conductor's side view. I started building this unit many years ago using a Front Range GP7 I had on hand, then set it aside. Earlier this month I started over using a P2K GP7 this time, but salvaged the short hood I'd chopped and detailed from the earlier FRP effort. Windshield and numberboard are modified Cascade & Pacific parts. I added a new horn (modified Overland), lift rings, grabs, radio and EOT antenna, short hood perimeter handrail, toilet vent, headlight, class light covers, cut lever extensions, MU and air hoses, MU stands, ditch lights, wipers, pilot plates, spare coupler knuckles on the rear pilot, exhaust stacks, piping behind the fuel tank, and engine room roof access panels. The sill and battery boxes forward of the cab have been modified per the prototype, and new handrails were formed for the latter.
