The Grimes Line passes on the southwest side of the NW100th/Douglas Avenue intersection. Modeling the street grid of the northwest suburbs was a key factor in my layout design.

The Urbandale runaround is the only active one on the Grimes Line in my 2008 era. Since all of the spurs are facing point for outbound movement crews will runaround their trains, then shove the remaining two miles to Grimes.
