Modeling IAIS 481 in HO

More information on the prototype IAIS 481

The conversion for the #481 started with an undec P2K GP-7 shell. I carefully cut out the cooling fan sections - front and rear. Be careful to only cut out the thickness of the replacement piece. I used Cannon & Co #1751 (long hood roof) cut to length. The width is slightly wider than the shell, but a little filing/sanding will clean it up. There is also a lip on the bottom of the Cannon pieces (I assume for scratchbuilding purposes) that I sanded off. Once the new pieces were installed, I used Detail Associates #2003 34" cooling fans .
